Julie Abutal

Meet Ms. Abutal, an accomplished legal professional with a rich and diverse background in criminal law and business law. Ms. Abutal began her career in criminal law as a paralegal with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and later became a prosecutor for the Anaheim City Attorney’s Office. Throughout her career, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that justice is served for her clients and the communities they serve.

In addition to her professional experience, Ms. Abutal has also dedicated her time to pro bono work, volunteering as an attorney with the Orange County Public Law Center’s Federal Pro Se Clinic and Domestic Violence Clinic at Lamoreaux Court. This work has given her a unique perspective on the legal system and the many challenges faced by underserved communities.

Ms. Abutal holds a Juris Doctor degree from Whittier Law School, where she concentrated in Business Law and received a CALI Award of Excellence in Comparative Legal Systems. During law school, she furthered her legal education by studying European Union Law as a visiting student at both Brasenose College, Oxford University, and Trinity College, Cambridge University. This international experience has given her a broad understanding of the legal systems and cultures of different countries.

Prior to law school, Ms. Abutal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History and a Master of Arts degree in History from California State University Long Beach. Her academic achievements demonstrate her dedication to learning and her commitment to excellence in all areas of her life.

Ms. Abutal is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court – Central District of California.
